Another Air Filter Question

#1 Post by N Hamelin » Tue Sep 22, 2009 3:28 pm

My friend from Alaska, Josh, is looking for an air filter canister that would be suitable for a snorkel set-up for his series truck. He is running a 3.0l mercruiser, and is looking for something with a side intake and upper outlet, similar to the 200tdi set-up. The overall dimensions and inlet/outlet positions aren't critical as the install can be built around it. Does anyone have any suggestions and/or anything available?

Thank you,

Neil

Pretty much every piece of industrial equipment runs a primary air filter in this configuration. Side inlet to a vaned cylindrical filter, drain on the bottom and air out the top. Get one from a junk yard or buy new

Here is an axample of available choices from the Cummins line.
