Hi: Is there an overflow pipe from the fuel filler receptical that comes out somewhere near the bottom of the gas tank on a series 3 gasoline? Occasionally when I fill up there is a puddle of fuel on the ground nbut the leak goes away after a few kilometres. When it first happened I thought the hose clip was loose, which it was but when it happened yesterday I checked and it was still tight but I did notice a small rubber hose alongside the main fuel pipe to the gas tank and I am wondering if that might be a breather or overflow line.
Thanks, Larry.

Sounds like a cracked/split/decomposed vent hose that overflows and spills when full. Used to happen on various other makes too. We used a length of heater hose as replacement. Just try to find actual rubber gas line in larger diameter! Can be done but it is $$$$ and no, heater hose won't break down in gasoline.
