Disco 1 lifts

#1 Post by jeepingpw » Sat Jan 15, 2011 6:16 pm

Looking at lifts for a Disco 1

Has anyone done a body lift?

Suspension lift is better, really cheap on E-Bay UK,
but I have read that a 2" needs 3 deg. of caster & 3" needs 6 deg. of caster.
I've done alot of Ford lifts & looking at the Rover, why not lower the stock Radius arm brackets?
Has anyone tried this?

I have /had OME 2" lift for 4 years (driven on road and on trails extensively), no problems no adverse steering or drive line issues at all. (98 Discovery)

I'm just switching over to a 3" OME lift with relocated rear shock mounts, I don't expect any adverse issues. But likely to have some minor drive line vibrations?

I have the 2" OME lift and just put in the offset bushings. they made a huge difference, and I am in the process of destroying my second roto coupling in 15000kms.
