I was hoping to ask these questions in person today at Founder's Day, but upon pulling out of the drive, my truck became so loud that to continue would have been downright rude. The rotten exhaust finally separated completely from the primary silencer. The truck is an '87 naturally aspirated diesel 2.5L ex-MOD LHDrive 110. Malcom at Double S Exhaust Systems (Victoria BC), fears problems with fitting a "civilian" system to a military truck and wants part numbers before supplying a stainless system for me.
I wonder what others have found exhausting?
Thanks, Angus
Exhaust advice please for ex MOD 110

Exhaust pipe
Hello Sorry you did not make it to founders day. Niether did I but we do have coffee meetings on the Island once in a while. Maybe you will make it to one of them?
If you are restoring your rover to showroom conditon by all means fit a factory exhaust system. If it is just going to be a fun daily driver find a good muffler shop in your area and get them to bend a custom system for you. They will be able to tuck the system up higher and keep it more protected than the way Land Rover did it.
The cost will be about the same or less.
Also you do not need more than 1 3/4 inch inch pipe the engine does not make enough power to justify big exhaust pipe . Good luck Victor
