East Harrison Run This Saturday
Hi fellow Roverlanders,
Just passing a quick word around of a run which Bryan Hoult is organizing with the NW Overland group this weekend. Brian came up from the Everett area to join us last month on our Fossil Beach expedition in his awesome white Range Rover. Here are the details:

I am coaching a youth soccer team until 4 pm Sat. I have not been to the East Harrison area as I am still new to BC. Just checking to see if anyone would be interested in doing the run to meet him at the campsite on Sat evening (after my soccer gig). And then scout around the East Harrison area with Bryan on Sunday. This would be my intended trek to the campsite on Sat evening:

Depending on when my power steering pump comes in, I may either join you and/or the run... All on my own this week!

Well all the parts came in on the order except my pump (of course)... There is a chance albeit a small one, that it will come in tomorrow. If so I will join you. If not, I'm not planning to walk to Harrison so....

Hey Guys, how did the trip go? There is normally too much snow on the Kookipi FSR in April to make it from Boston Bar to Harrison, so interested to know if it was passable?

Re: East Harrison Run This Saturday
The trip was great - just got home. We ended up with three trucks coming in from Boston Bar. The road up to the lookout was clear to the top (4200 ft). The creeks were bursting with the melt and crashing down the canyons. We crossed one patch of deep snow on the Kookipi FSR but turned around half way through the second. I think we were about 18 KM from where the Kookipi splits from Nahatlatch. Besides my RRC there was a Volvo XC90 and a JK 4dr - I had the only winch. While the snow is mostly gone, we didn't think it wise to risk slogging through anymore snow with evening coming on. We headed back down to Nahatlatch lake and found a great camp spot right at KM marker 21. I broke my key off in the rear hatch about a KM from camp, so my neighbor had to drive up with a spare key. I'll post up some images soon.

Re: East Harrison Run This Saturday
Hi Bryan,
Thanks for the update and photos. Good to see the snow is melting away nicely already. Probably be able to get all the way through in a couple of weeks.
Cheers,
Andy
