2018 Founders Day - Saturday 14th April - Heritage Park

Attention All Land Rover Owners, the biggest Indoor Land Rover Show on the West Coast
Mark it on your calendars, Saturday April 14th 2018, once again held at the Heritage Park, Luckakuck Way, Chilliwack.

To celebrate Land Rovers 70th Birthday we aim to make this years event bigger and better, with double the indoor space, a larger indoor obstacle course and lots more going on, loads of Land Rover related merchandise, prizes and activities.

We are arranging onsite field camping for those coming from out of town and a fun off-road adventure the Sunday following the event.

More information will be posted in the upcoming weeks, stay tuned.....

I'm super excited for Founders Day this year! I'll be up on Friday and plan to camp Friday and Saturday night.

Put me down for helping out with set up etc.

If anyone has vet hospital recommendations in the area let me know. I have an ailing pup coming along - and if she has a sustained grand mal seizure I'll need a place to take her for care. It's not likely to happen - but I need a back up plan just in case :)

Bryan,

It will be great to see you again. We take our dog to Menzies Pet Hospital. Great service. However, I checked their website and noticed they do not offer emergency service.

The Family Pet Hospital appears to offer emergency services if needed. I suggest it is best to call them to inquire and confirm. They are not too far from the Heritage Park Exhibition Hall:

Ellwood Park Animal Hospital in Abbotsford are the best. I would trust Dr. Ray and Dr. Deb without reservation.

We would love to have our Land Rover on display. How can we be of assistance on set up and during the day? Can we help with the obstacle course or any other aspect. Please let us know.

Hi Chris and Paul,

Good to hear you're coming along. Looking forward to seeing your Land Rover at the show.
Yes, always looking for willing volunteers, most of the Obstacle course will be built on Friday evening so not sure if that will work for you, otherwise there is always lots to do if you can arrive early on Saturday morning. We will be creating a event volunteer list in the upcoming week.

Cheers,
Andy

Hi All,

I hope everyone has been busy getting those old Land Rovers ready, it is now less than two weeks until Founders Day 2018.
This is the one big show each year that brings all us Land Rover folk together under one roof so don't miss it! If Chilliwack is not that close to your home consider camping out onsite and making it a weekend event including the off-road run the Sunday after Founders Day.

We are also looking for Event volunteers to help out before and during the show. If you can help drop us an email, we could use some help on Friday evening between 5pm and 9pm and Saturday morning between 9am and 11am as well as during the show on various assignments. Please email [email protected]

Cheers,
Andy

I’m planning on attending...if anyone has seatbelts for the middle row and back row center facing seats for a 99 Defender 110 email me or bring them down to founders day.

My wife was pleasantly surprised to find one of the founders day posters on her white D90 50 year anniversary truck at her work in Richmond today! Thanks to whoever put it there!

I'll be there as discussed. Camping - I have been lucky enough to secure alternative accommodations, but save a spot around the campfire. :D

Hi All,

Final Countdown to Founders Day, looking forward to seeing everyone there on Saturday to celebrate Land Rovers 70th Anniversary.

Also a reminder, this year as a way to celebrate Land Rovers 70th Anniversary we will be giving away 70 of the Limited Edition Metal / Enamel grill badges to the first 70 vehicles to register at the door on the day of the event. Do not miss out on your shiny new grill badge .....see you there!

Hi Andyd

WE are selling our LR Discovery 2004 and I was wondering if during the event you will have a message board or any other means of advertising or trading?

Thanks

Hey Andy,
My Rover is in no condition to show up - unless you think people will be impressed by several boxes of parts - but am I able to register or buy a badge anyway?

Hi Oriana,

Posting it here is the best message board. You are welcome to bring your Discovery along and put it into the show and "for sale" signs are ok as long as they are small and discreet (Max size A4 paper). We may persuade you by the end of the show to keep and enjoy it!

cheers,
Andy

I believe there may be some extra grill badges available on the Merchandise table, very limited numbers, first come first served...

There is another special event happening in Chilliwack on the same day as Founders Days. Any Series owners wanna take part and herald the old days of Land Rovers as a farming tractor?

Does anyone know what time the indoor driving course will be run?

I will be there in my 2004 G4 Disco for a bit...

Thanks,
Orion

Hi Orion,

The plan is to have the obstacle course open to run at 1pm-2pm then again at 3pm-4pm and finally 6-7pm.
If there is demand, we can extend the times, we will see how it goes.

Cheers,
Andy

So to get a Roverlanders Anniversary Badge, does one have to be a member of Roverlanders? Or even bring a Land Rover?

Just tink'in....
