200 tdi injection pump
Hi, we just tried starting up my tdi, and engine seems to stick to around 2500rpm. No throttle response. The unit sat (engine) for about 5 years. It's a bosch pump. Any ideas what might be up?
How much are rebuilds/new and who has them. Does anyone rebuild them here in BC? I am so close to finishing the 200tdi conversion on my 2.5 na exmod 110 I can almost savour it !! Help!!

Have you checked other things first? This is all easy to check yourself.
- Run a big dose of fuel conditioner and make sure you have fresh fuel.
- Timing.
- Air and fuel filters clean.
- Lift pump working.
- Turbo working, pressure sensor to pump clear, pump diaphragm not broken.
- Injector spraying OK.

Hi Dan
The Bosch pump on your 200TDI is similar in design to the pumps used on various VWs and Dodge/cummins pick-ups. The shop that I have used for my Bosch pumps (on VW diesels) is NW (Northwest) Injection. Fortunately for me my injection pump problems have been limited to outside seals so I have been able to fix them myself (and NW has been able to supply the parts at a reasonable price) however any internal repairs can cost mega-bucks...
Regards, Rob

I am having some grief finding an injector pump. I've tried calling Dixon..no messages returned. I then started looking in the UK. Has anyone dealt with LR direct? If so, are they reputable?
Other than that, I'm looking at a rebuild. Any advice regarding this? Does anyone know a good shop?
I'm so close on this 200tdi, I can almost taste the diesel exhuast! Cheers, Dan.

injection pump
Simmonites in Bradford England have been a reliable source for parts for me . Prompt and reasonable prices . Have even stripped parts off old machines in the bone yard .
Either by phone or email .
I would not recommend Liveridge

Try Northwest Injection
The pump is a VE so a reputable Bosch injection shop that works on VWs or Dodge Cummins should be able to take care of you. I would try Northwest Injection
