Clutch question 67 IIA 109 with six cylinder Chevy Conversion

#1 Post by pquin » Sun Nov 29, 2020 9:18 am

Hello,

I'm planning to put a fresh clutch in my 1967 109 Six Cylinder that has a Chevy 250 installed with Scotty adapter.

Will a normal Land Rover IIA clutch disc and pressure plate work for this? From what I've gleaned from Google, which might be wrong, the conversion uses a Vega (!) flywheel which matches up to the Land Rover pressure plate bolts. I'd like to get the right parts before I take the truck apart.

Cheers,

If it is still using the Land Rover gearbox, the normal combination is a Vega flywheel with a 9 1/2” Rover clutch from the late 2a with the appropriate pilot bushing to fit the combination. Your setup could be different depending on what has been done with your truck’s conversion.
